What to expect when ordering
A non refundable deposit fee is required for placing and order. This is no negotiable so be sure you wish to place and order and be placed on the build list. To get and estimate before placing an order use the Build Calculator to communicated with the maker before hand.
If required* When an order is submitted the maker will reach out to you within a reasonable amount of time via Email, Facebook Messenger, or phone to verify your order details and Acknowledge the order.
Lead times
1-8 weeks upon order confirmation when Maker acknowledges your order. These lead times are NOT set in stone and can fluctuate.
This is custom hand crafted work, not the fast food drive through.
Ordering is Disabled/Orders are over Capacity
The maker is current over capacity, manually disabled ordering, or is on vacation. Check back later to see if orders are open/available again.
Providing axe(s) for the build
On the Custom Order Form it asks if you will be providing an axe head for your particular build. Customer assumes shipping expense. The maker will reach out to give you shipping details on where to send it to or may be available at an event to pick it up. QA/Non Straight axes there will be a fee applied for fixing it. However, keep in mind if you send a defective axe head there is only so much magic one can work when their base of building is already cracked at the foundation.
Custom Requests
Custom requests are possible, but may have additional costs to them. Speaking with the maker is the best bet if you’re looking for something extra special.
Warranty work
Maker craftsmanship defects, faulty wood grain, profiling work, a loose wedge are covered. The customer will pay shipping to and from for the warranty work. Lead times will vary, see lead times.
What is NOT covered:
1.5+ Spin thrown axes, trickshots, excessive abuse, duals axes, axe head defects. Builds modified after it left Rain Axe Companies possession or not by Rain Axe Company, and including but not limited to faulty modifications such as: cutting, sanding, routing, thinning, profiling, painting and/or staining, or generally any alterations after the fact other than how it left Rain Axe Company shop will not be covered under said warranty terms.
Altering or removing of the company logo strictly null and voids any warranties implied.
Builders Consent
Upon filling out the Custom Build Order Form at the end it will ask you to accept the Builder Consent. This is authorizing me under reasonable assumption that I will be building or modifying something for your order. Typically this will be based on your form feedback and me reaching out about the services you were interested in. This is including but not limited to modifiying an axe head or removing a handle from an existing axe that the customer may or may not have provided.
Expedited Builds
Customer: “I want to be next in line…”
There is unfortunately a cost associated with skipping the line and you may “Rush your order”. Keep in mind that it places you next in line and may be behind someone else who rushed their order and I will let you know if that is the case. Also note that I will not rush working on the order from a quality perspective. Rush orders are on a first come first serve basis and are subject to maker availability such as being out of town etc.
Shipping
Shipping will always be on or close Fridays to lump out going packages together. USPS and UPS are the prefered parntners. Flat fees will be charged and added to the build cost. Expedited shipping is available at customers expense.
Order Pickup
Order pick is possible. Check with the maker to verify what tournaments/events he will be at.
Returns
Generally speaking, unless there is some sort of extenuating circumstances… Returns are not accepted for hand crafted work.
Payments
PayPal, Cash (In Person), Venmo, Major Credit Cards Accepted.
Checks are NOT accepted.
Taxes and cards fees will be applied if not paying in full in cash.
